After a long time we decide to go to Alibaug with our friends Sanju and Pintu(Mrs.&Mr.Sanjay Devyani).

I took a holiday on Friday so that we can go for long weekend. We stared journey from home at around 7:30 am and reached by bike at Bhaucha Dhakka,Dockyard at 9:00am. We reached bit late so missed two ferries.

We got our next ferry by 10AM. There are two ways to go to Alibaug. From Gateway of India through AC catamaran or non AC Launches. It takes you to Mandawa jetty. But we decided to go from Dockyard coz, from here you can take your bikes along with you. And bikes are very much useful to travel in this small town.

Our bikes were loaded on the top deck of ferry. As soon as we left the shore, we got chased by beautiful seagull birds. It was awesome to see them flying around and catching the fish and small pieces of food.

After 1 and half hour  journey we reached to Revas,Revdanda. We pay Rs.75 each for bikes and Rs.29 as ticket fare for each of us. Alibaug beach is 15 Km away from Revas. Local transport is available along with rickshaws.

From Revas to Alibaug we reached within 1 hour. As we had already decided to go for Hotel Guruji. We checked the rooms and all and then decided to go for AC rooms. Weather was bit hot so we felt AC would be better choice. AC rooms were available for Rs.1500. we got sea face room,sea was looking calm and beautiful.

By this time we felt terribly hungry. We went for a lunch in Lilac Hotel nearby. Sanju had a chilled Beer and we we joined with Reshmi Kabab and Tomato soup, maunchurian soup with him.Myself and Sanju ordered for chicken hundi with nan. And Pintu and madhavi had vegMix with chapatis. Evening we went to beach and sat for a while there. After a dinner at Hotel Dwarka (Only Veg),4 of us got into my room and chillout singing songs and playing cards. Next morning we decided to go to Chaul, a Datt mandir. Its 20Km away from Alibaug and another next place to visit there is Birla Temple. We started around 10AM to Chaul. At 12PM we went upstairs towards temple by climbing approximalty 1000 steps. Pintu got exuasted by this trek. After came dow Sanju got an idea to go to Murud-Janjira fort which was 36 KM away from Chaul. I was not very kin on this idea as I felt it would be hectic journey. But 3 of them were very kin to go except me so I also joined them.

Here we start our thriller adventure of my life, I'll never forget this ride through out my life. It was my first experience on out side of city road. And the worst part was I was without my specs. It was dangerous and life threatening adventure but still I took this as a challenge.Luckily I came alive beacuse of Gods grace. Road was quite empty but sometimes there was road cunstructions was going on. Around 2PM we reached at Murud Beach. Myself and Sanju ate Surmai (fish)thali and as usual madu and pintu nonveg thali. Food was excellent at Patil's resort.

At 3:30PM we went ahead to see the Janjira Fort. Janjira fort is onw of the best fort of that time. Shivaji Maharaj never win this fort so he asked his son Sambhaji to win this fort. Sambhaji built Kasa fort in front of Janjira but still he couldnt win this fort. Guide was saying even Shivaji's Neval Chief Angre also failed to get this fort. Fort is inside the sea and thats why its more difficult to win at that time. Its perfect security system is amazing. Kalalbangadi is one of the biggest can be found on the fort. Fort can be approached in sail boats, which leave from Rajpuri jetty, 5 kms from Murud.
